Regular egg consumption may be linked to a lower risk of Alzheimer’s disease.

Researchers followed nearly 40,000 adults for more than 15 years and found that people who ate eggs regularly were significantly less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease.

The strongest association was seen among individuals who ate about one egg per day at least five times a week. This group had a 27% lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s compared to those who rarely or never ate eggs.

Even smaller amounts appeared beneficial.
